Hi and thank you for visiting the Maine NAPUS Website this week. This is an urgent plea for all that are attending or were planning on attending the NAPUS convention in Northport on June 22nd. The Executive Board has revised the schedule for a shortened convention starting on Tuesday June 23rd and ending the Evening of Thursday June 25th after dinner. Please plan on attending this convention as it is very important for everyone to attend. This is what I will ask of all of you. Please call this number 1-888-336-8339 which is the EEO hotline. Request an EEO package and submit it when you get it in the mail. You may if you want refer to me as your representative if you wish. What this will do is make the EEOC aware that part of our pay package was blatantly taken from us without due consideration for Postmasters. If you need help with this please email me at Mainepostmaster@hotmail.com and I will assist you in this project.

I have talked to Senator Collins office and Congresswoman Pingree’s office concerning the breaking of what I consider title 39 of the US Code. Please understand that this is the only way that we will have the chance to prevail in the injustice that the Postal Service has decided to do. Postmaster General Potter emailed me a response and called convention leave a luxury. I contest that statement, it is part of our pay package it is not a luxury as he stated. There are so many other ways to cut expenses Mr. Potter, how about giving that 39% raise in salary back, pay part of your health insurance along with all of the other PCES employees? Of course not you only want to belittle Postmasters, the very people who have worked hard for YOU, the same Postmasters that have lobbied Congress for HR 22. I have one question; do you honestly believe that there would be over 300 co-sponsors of this bill without the efforts of NAPUS Postmasters? I think not. All that has to be done to remedy this is to reinstate our pay package and send an apology to all the Postmasters that have been affected.

Please NAPUS Postmasters, help me right this wrong by filing that EEO.

These statements are mine and not the Postal Services or The NAPUS national office. If you agree with me please do as I have pleaded you to do.

Scott

Welcome to the Maine NAPUS website.

This is the home of the Maine Chapter, which benefits ALL Maine Postmasters.  This site is intended to have a real time way to communicate with each other.

The State of Maine is an enormous state.  This website is an avenue to keep us all connected, since we live in an electronic age and there is, after all,  no better way to keep up to date with on going issues that affect us all.

As we move forward in this effort, it is hoped that you will provide us with feedback on how to make this more interactive for all who visit.

Please feel free to contact us in the future with suggestions on how to make this better for you.
